For a quick poetry fix, try the Poetry Machine – just hit the button and you’ll receive a poem printed out at random from the many submissions from the mighty Manawatū. The ‘machine’ is a repurposed receipt printer linked to a Raspberry Pi and a giant red button (just because), all housed in a gorgeous old record player box. At present, there are about 60 poems from a range of submitters, from newbies to experienced poets, school children to more mature folk. With thanks to our friends at Palmy City Library.
