Aotearoa’s most unique street art festival returns for the third year in December 2025 – with a slew of fun, surprising, revealing and meaningful creations by local urban artists!
Seven headline artists will take to Ōtautahi’s streets and create works that extend from poetic garments and a Pasifika-inspired navigation trail to surprising signs, playful characters, an unplayable golf course (no clubs needed!), space-bending calligraphy and even an automated art machine – all exploring the smaller scale and material diversity of urban art and encouraging reflection upon our experience of the cityscape.
“I’m excited to part of the Little Street Art Festival this year because, even in a small way, I get to be part of the fabric (wink) of this city!” says artist Iva Anjani, a sentiment echoed by fellow artist, Ekos:”The Little Street Art Festival is exciting because it brings so many artists together in our city and builds the image of Christchurch up at the same time”
The Little Street Art Festival is a celebration of the possibilities of the urban landscape as a site for creativity – a platform for a range of artists whose work pushes boundaries and explores new ideas and formats. In doing so, the Little Street Art Festival furthers Ōtautahi’s reputation as a street art destination.
In addition to the headline installations, the Little Street Art Festival 2025 will also feature a raft of programming and events, with free guided tours and workshops with local artists, a panel discussion evening with festival creatives, additional works by festival ‘Fresh Faces’, giveaways and participatory activities.
