Join this hands-on rotating workshop led by Tapa Moana Nui artists Amanda Stowers and Doron Semu held alongside the opening of their new exhibition at Fibre Gallery.
- Mono-Printing on Clay Tiles using Siapo, paint a design onto siapo using underglaze, then transfer it onto a clay tile, capturing the unique texture of the U‘a.
- Siapo Making, explore the U‘a (the tree used to make siapo), tools, and techniques through a demonstration, then create your own siapo piece. Pieces made in the siapo workshop are unpainted and will need further drying at home.
No prior experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to make.
