Schmuck is German for jewellery. Schmuck Rangiora celebrates contemporary Aotearoa jewellery to coincide with the prestigious Schmuck Munich 2026 and in recognition of the Aotearoa artists connections to this International fixture.

This year we are very excited to include Becky Bliss who has exhibited at Schmuck Munich. Artists hail from across the moto to include Pōneke Wellington, Kā Muriwai Arrowtown, Rangiora, Ōhinehou Lyttelton, and Te Wharau Charteris Bay. The show has been curated to provide a diverse blend of provocative materials and stunning designs. Alongside this exhibition 15 March – 23 April and to encourage community engagement; Waimakariri Libraries will be running a Jewellery themed Holiday programme and the Tinker Zone have jewellery related technologies for play. Participating artist Julie Hassall will be running workshops with dates to be announced over the duration of the show.
