Are you an emerging artist with a connection to Banks Peninsula? The Peninsula Art Auction is back for its 10th event and you’re invited to be part of this iconic celebration of local creativity.
Now marking 20 years of supporting art and community, the Peninsula Art Auction has raised over $500,000 for Lyttelton tamariki since its inception, showcasing hundreds of works from artists across the region. Held biennially, the event has become a launchpad for new talent and a beloved fixture in the local art calendar.
The 2025 auction will transform Lyttelton Primary School into a vibrant, contemporary gallery space. Organisers are now calling for submissions from new artists eager to share their work with a broad audience, connect with fellow creatives, and support a meaningful cause.
“This event is all about community,” says Lyttelton Primary Principal Jenny Felton. “Whether you’re a first-time exhibitor or an established name, the Peninsula Art Auction is a chance to be part of something special.”
