The Big Screen Symposium 2025 will bring screen practitioners together for debate, discussion, information and inspiration.
This event by Script-to-Screen on 4th and 5th July in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, is for all who work on bringing stories to screen from writers to directors, to technicians to distributors.
This year Screen CanterburyNZ are offering two regional scholarships which include a ticket to the event and $300 bursary towards the cost of travel and accommodation.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be based in the Canterbury region.
- Primarily work in the screen industry or be actively working towards a career in the screen industry.
- Be available and able to commit to attend the Big Screen Symposium on 4 and 5 July in Auckland.
- Not have attended the Big Screen Symposium on a Scholarship bursary from ScreenCanterburyNZ in the last 2 years.

Please send your biography and a cover letter on why you would like to attend the Big Screen Symposium and why you should receive the scholarship to paul.wilkinson@christchurchnz.com by Monday 19 May.
All eligible applicants will be put into a lottery and two applications will be drawn at random.
