Art + the Law is designed to provide artists and other art professionals with an introduction to the main legal aspects to consider when starting or running an art practice. The audience will be guided through select topics such as: copyright, contracts, effective cataloguing, Artist/Dealer relationships and more. Art + the Law will be an interactive talk with the opportunity for questions and discussion.

About Nuha
Nuha Fathina (LLB, BCJ) is a legal professional who has worked in the law and arts for a number of years. She is a UC Law alum and holds a Diploma in Law and Collections Management from the Institute of Art and Law (UK). Currently, she writes for the LexisNexis District Court Reports, is a freelance writer on topics related to art and law and also assists the Christchurch Art Gallery with historical orphaned artworks and copyright.
