One weekend each May, around 50 of Christchurch’s best buildings open their doors, last year more than 45,000 people walked through them. That’s Open Christchurch, and it’s the biggest architecture festival in the country.
It takes a team to make it happen, and then keep the city engaged for the other 51 weeks of the year.
We’re looking for that special someone to join our awesome team.
What you’d be doing
● Shaping and running our year-round programme of events – identifying what’s worth doing, then making it happen
● Leading the programming and coordination of Open Christchurch, from shortlisting buildings with our Building Council through to being on the ground for the festival weekend
● Building relationships with building owners, architects, historians, artists and partners — and looking after them well
● Telling people about it all: our newsletters, social channels, website and inbox
● Keep it all running smoothly – budgets, runsheets, health and safety plans, volunteer rosters, and keeping our records in order
● Helping our Director source funding and report back to the people who back us
