Hagley Theatre School provides a tertiary pathway/pre-professional programme of a One-Year Acting Training Course and a Six-Month Theatre Creation Course and is open to candidates 18 years of age and over. The artistic direction of the school is now in the creative and dynamic hands of Dr Pedro Ilgenfritz, continuing the work he developed over 18 years as a senior tutor at Unitec’s Performing and Screen Arts Department in Auckland, and offers an excellent opportunity for students who want to pursue high-level performance training in Christchurch.
