Nau Mai, Welcome to Toi Ōtautahi

Toi Ōtautahi is a partnership project between Christchurch City Council, Creative NZ, Rātā Foundation, Mana Whenua, and Manatū Taonga Ministry of Culture and Heritage and we would love for you to be part of it.

Toi Ōtautahi has been designed to act as a virtual arts office and bring together the city’s creative stories in one online place that celebrates and promotes the arts and creativity in Ōtautahi and the wider Waitaha region.

The idea for a dedicated site came out of development of Toi Ōtautahi, the city’s arts strategy.

We have produced some of this country’s best known and most celebrated artists and artworks, and Ōtautahi continues to be a place where innovation and radical creativity flourishes. We are unapologetic supporters and champions for the significant role the city and its creatives have played, and continue to play in Aotearoa.

We want creatives to be able to access both resources and information that may be helpful to their practice wherever they are, and we want to help promote and publicise the many creative endeavours that are going on in the city, peninsular and region.

If you need more information about Toi Ōtautahi, or want to submit story ideas or work please email us at:
