No Productions Theatre present their new work in development.

Nataliya Oryshchuk’s new solo show tells the story of a girl who left her native Kyiv and emigrated to Middle-earth. This special one-off performance on Sunday 27 November at Christchurch’s Little Andromeda is proudly part of the Little A Development Season, with more performances to follow in 2023.

Playful, witty and heartbreaking all at once, the show lovingly weaves together Nataliya’s memories about Ukrainian cities which are now lost and her New Zealand immigrant experiences. “It is a dangerous business going out of your door…” Are you prepared to follow the path into Nataliya’s world? There may be dragons…

Set up with deceptive simplicity, “Ukraine to Middle-earth and Back Again” unleashes the true magic of theatre, stimulating the audience’s imagination and immersing them in a (seemingly) simple story of “a girl who left her native Kyiv to become an Elf”.
