Kophie’s debut solo exhibition called “Trials” is an exhibition inspired by street culture, graffiti, hip hop & nostalgia. She has created works that are experimental and a reflection of not wanting to be told what to paint and wanting to reflect her style and identity more. The works are full of symbolism and subversive elements and mostly inspired by things she feels in the moment. The name “Trials” is reflective of the experimentation, the hard trials she has been put through in life and to be put on trial as in the criminality of graffiti. Its also is reflective of the juxtaposition of doing graffiti and trying to be professional and run a business at the same time.
Trials – Kophie’s debut solo exhibition at Fibre Gallery 285 Cashel St (the building with the big pacific mural on the side).
