The Forest is a collaboration between two Lyttelton giants in the theatre space. Mike Friend, the man, the myth, the legend that is everything Lyttelton Arts Factory and Fleur de Thier the absolute doyenne of contemporary dance.
This time they are collaborating with a cast of Christchurch’s next generation of performers. Students of NASDA and Hagley Theatre School have come together to create something truly special under the guidance of Fleur and Mike.
If you’ve seen a show by Mike and loved it, if you’ve seen a work by Fleur and loved it you absolutely cannot miss this one. It is a dynamic piece of physical theatre, using dark comedy, movement and narration to tell the story of the main character.
Mike Friend and Fleur de Thier join forces to create this exciting work with a large cast of emerging actors.
This work is visually stunning, moving and funny.
