Christchurch City Council’s Events and Arts Team is looking to contract an experienced event producer to support development and delivery of the city’s largest event, Tīrama Mai, a celebration of Puaka Matariki.
The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering complex projects, with fixed budgets, with health and safety planning, consenting and traffic management considerations. You will have understanding and regard for kaupapa Māori or demonstrate a willingness to learn. And you will be a good communicator.
You will work alongside and report to the Principal Advisor, Community Arts, and will liaise with staff from across council, artists and technical companies to produce a high-quality experience.
Tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Support curation across event site.
- Liaise with artists, event contractors, various council staff.
- Produce H&S plans.
- Produce/procure traffic management plans.
- Support event casuals and onsite staff.
- Procure event security.
The contract covers a period of up to 16 weeks at a fixed rate and is part time (between 20-30hours as required).
