Ilam School of Fine Arts
Te Kura Kōwaiwai Ilam School of Fine Arts at UC offers a professional four-year degree in visual arts and design subjects with the ability to specialise in one of five disciplines- film, graphic design, painting, photography and sculpture.
As the first University affiliated art school’s in Aotearoa New Zealand, it is also notably one of the oldest in the English-speaking world. Our academic staff are artists, designers, filmmakers, andcurators of international standing ensuring students learn from the best.
The School of Fine Arts incorporates the Ilam Gallery and a number of student-led exhibition spaces allowing students, staff and alumni to showcase their work on campus and the wider Ōtautahi during the year.
