Hornby local Anika Moa first began performing at age 8, and by the time she was a teenager she had several Rockquest wins under her belt. Her first album yielded four huge singles, including ‘Youthful’ which grabbed the attention of American record executives. Moa eventually turned her back on the demands of a major record deal and a gruelling touring schedule and returned home to Aotearoa.
