Tiny Fest, Ōtautahi’s most real, raw and radical arts festival, returns on the 22nd-24th of November. This year, the unique, site-responsive travelling festival, is taking over two of the central city’s most iconic venues, Tūranga Library and Little Andromeda, with a blend of immersive performances, workshops, talks, pop-up installations… and more.
The 2024 theme of Publications/Public Actions speaks directly to Tūranga and Little Andromeda’s roles in our society. Sentiments echoed in the artistic programming, which features a mix of 35+ local Ōtautahi, national and international artists, all of whom strive to push boundaries and redefine the essence of their chosen mediums. Many of the works presented have been written as a direct response to this theme, offering audience experiences that will never be repeated.
A 3-day performance art marathon now in its fourth iteration, Tiny Fest will transform Tūranga Library and Little Andromeda into playgrounds for the next wave of performance makers and audiences in Ōtautahi. Designed to give you a concentrated hit of unforgettable performances — in a true celebration of Tiny Fest’s real, raw and radical ethos.
Tiny Fest is removing barriers with a desire to make art accessible with a festival-wide ‘pay what you can’ ticketing model — one of the first of its kind in Aotearoa.
