Update on the Kunstautomat – Art vending machine.
The Kunstautomat, currently in the South Quad at the Arts Centre, has proved immensely popular with locals since its installation.
The machine itself has had some teething problems – and we are currently installing a new coin mechanism to ensure that the art is dispensed properly! Thank you for your patience and understanding while we have been sorting this out. We hope the machine will be running smoothly very shortly!
Meantime, we’ve had our first deliveries of art from local artists. These are currently being distributed into the vending machine and some of it is on its way to Europe.
We’re very excited about bringing local art to the machine and are welcoming any expressions of interest from artists who would like to be a part of this.
