Hagley Theatre Company is a self-contained, independent training and performance programme attached to Hagley College in Ōtautahi Christchurch, Aotearoa New Zealand.

In 2018, the Company celebrated 30 years of providing expert, hands-on tuition and contemporary performance experiences to young people from all over the country. What makes us special is our broad spectrum training and our practical approach. HTC is a great bridge between secondary school and drama school, paving the way for an incredible career in the performing arts, or giving you some incredible skills to tackle life, wherever it takes you.

To be accepted into the company you will need to undertake and interview with our artistic director, Cameron Mattox, and attend a group audition. If you can’t make our audition day, please reach out as we may still be able to accommodate you.
