Team Hutchinson Ford in Tuam Street recently offered up one of thier walls to be part of the Flare Street Art Festival and they couldn’t be happier with the results.
The murals are being created through a public-private partnership co-funded through ChristchurchNZ and the first mural was created last year at Riverside Market, paying homage to the buildings lost in the earthquake.
The latest one is a tribute to Ernest Rutherford, who studied here at the University of Canterbury and is regarded as the father of nuclear physics.
The mural is a collaboration between Dcypher/XL Street Murals, Jacob Yikes and IkarusDTR Crew.
You can see the mural at 186 Tuam Street in the city.
