Events

Based on the picture-book of the same name, Matariki Around the World is a journey through the Matariki constellation around the world. Matariki (or Pleiades) is known by many different names and is seen and celebrated by many cultures. In Aotearoa, the mid-winter appearance of Matariki heralds a period of remembrance, joy and peace and is a time for unity and celebration.

Matariki Around the World is written by Rangi Matamua and Miriama Kamo, published by Scholastic New Zealand Limited and illustrated by Isobel Joy Te Aho-White.
